Whilst the highlight of this exciting safari is trekking to find the gorillas & chimps; you get to see other game like tree climbing lions, hippos as well as an endless variety of plains game. Furthermore, you also have the opportunity to visit local villages. This is for those wanting to see Uganda on an adventurous participation overland safari.

Departing from Entebbe early (0800hrs) you will travel to Lake Mburo National Park, arriving in the afternoon. CAMP overnight on the lake’s shore. (D)
Day 2Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Enjoy a game drive/walk before departing for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. CAMPING. (B, L, D)
Days 3 - 4Bwindi Gorilla Trek
On day 3 or 4, you will trek into the forest, in small groups, with a local guide and rangers to find the Mountain Gorillas. On the day you are not trekking enjoy village walks and spend time searching for birds inhabiting the fringe of the forest. CAMPING. (B, L, D)
Days 5 - 6Queen Elizabeth National Park – Ishasha
Today you will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will spend two nights CAMPING. (B, L, D)
Day 7Queen Elizabeth National Park – Chimpanzees
Today travel the length of the park to the Rwenzori – “Mountains of the Moon”. After setting up camp enjoy a walk through numerous rural villages and up into the forest to the Rwenzori lookout point CAMPING. (B,L,D)
Day 8Murchison Falls National Park
Today travel through rural Uganda on your way to Murchison Falls National Park. CAMPING. (B, L, D)
Days 9 - 10Murchison Falls National Park - Victoria Nile
Set off early on a guided walk in search of a group of habituated Chimpanzees. Afterwards visit Murchison Falls through which the Nile River flows. The following day enjoy a game drive in the northern section of the park. CAMPING. (B, L, D)
Day 11Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
This morning you will take a leisurely cruise down the Nile. Afterwards exit the park and travel to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a project established to reintroduce Rhino into their original habitats. CAMPING. (B, L, D)
Today you may opt to do a Rhino Track (own expense) before travelling by road to Jinja and checking into ADRIFT CAMP for your overnight stay. (B, L, D)
The tour ends after breakfast. Options are available to extend to take part in white water rafting or exploring a local community project (own expense). (B)
