Start your journey from Quito on board the Tren Crucero a four-coach heritage train, to El Boliche Recreational Area then on to Cotopaxi National Park. From Cotopaxi, you will head to Lasso, on the way enjoying the beautiful sights of the Andean highlands. (D)
Day 2Lasso – Riobamba
Continue to Latacunga by train, stopping for a visit to a rose plantation, before continuing on board to Urbina Station. It is here that you will visit the Interpretation Centre and enjoy the beauty of the landscape around the slopes of Chimborazo, the highest volcano in Ecuador. (B, L, D)
Day 3Riobamba – Bucay
Depart by train to Colta to see one of the Balbanera Churches in Ecuador that was established in 1534. Continue your journey to Guamote, to visit the indigenous market. After climbing steeped mountains the Devils Nose is a thrilling descent to the Andean valley before you head to the coast. (B, L, D)
Day 4Bucay – Guayaquil
See the tropical rainforest and countryside full of sugar cane plantations, as well as seeing coffee and cocoa trees. You will then head to Guayaquil, which will be the end of the journey. (B)
