On arrival at Lima Airport, you will be met and transferred to the CASA ANDINA SELECT MIRAFLORES for your two night stay. You will be taken to the Lima Art Museum where you will view a beautiful collection of Peruvian art. Afterwards, you will be taken to the Water Circuit – a modern system of pools, before heading back to your hotel.
This morning you will be taken to the Callao Yacht Club. You will set sail to the Palomino Islands enroute stopping at the anchorage of yachts, warships and merchant vessels. The Palomino Islands feature fauna that includes sea lions and penguins. Upon returning from your excursion, enjoy a visit to Lima city in your own private vehicle that you can utilize for a three hour period. (B)
Day 3Lima - Sacred Valley
After breakfast, you will be taken to Lima airport for your transfer to the Sacred Valley. On arrival, you will visit Awanakancha (“The Fabric Palace”), a South American textile and exhibition centre
before continuing to the HOTEL POSADA DEL INCA YUCAY in the Sacred Valley for your three night stay. (B)
Day 4Sacred Valley
This morning, you will visit the archaeological vestiges of Maras (a salt mine complex) and Moray (an agricultural research center). After Maras and Moray, enjoy lunch at Rancho Wayra before continuing to Ollantaytambo, stopping at various places of interest en route. Ollantaytambo is currently considered one of the most remarkable archeological complexes of the Incan Empire. You will be taken back to the HOTEL for your overnight stay. (B, L)
Day 5Sacred Valley
After breakfast, you will visit the Pisac Market, where you can find stalls selling textiles, carvings and replicas of ancient Inca objects. Afterwards, enjoy lunch at Casa Hacienda Orihuela before returning to the Sacred Valley to ride Peruvian Paso horses on the paths of the valley. (B, L)
Day 6Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu
This morning you will be transferred from your hotel to Ollantaytambo train station for your journey to Aguas Calientes. After a short train journey you will arrive at Machu Picchu which means “Old Mountain”. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the New7Wonders of the World. Once in the citadel, you may optionally also visit the Intipunku (Sun Gate), the Wayna Picchu (subject to space availability) and the Inca Bridge. After your visit, return to Aguas Calientes for lunch at Café Inkaterra. Overnight at the “EL MAPI HOTEL MACHU PICCHU. (B, L)
Day 7Aguas Calientes – Cusco
Today you will have the option to return to Machu Picchu and visit the other attractions you may not have had a chance to visit the day before. In the afternoon, head to the Aguas Calientes train station to take the train back to Ollantaytambo. You will be met
and transferred to COSA DEL SOL RAMADA HOTEL in Cusco for your two night stay. (B)
After breakfast, enjoy a tour of Cusco, starting at the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site – Sacsayhuaman (a huge fortress made of large stones), located a few minutes outside the city. From there you will return to the city to continue your tour along the Plaza de Armas, visiting the San Blas neighbourhood as well as the cathedral. Your tour concludes at the Corincancha (Temple of the Sun). (B)
Today you will be transferred to the airport in time for your onward flight. (B)
