Set in the semi-arid desert of northern Kenya in the quiet western section of Samburu National Reserve, lies Samburu Intrepids. Designed to recreate the romance and charm of an East African safari, this luxury lodge highlights safari life as undertaken in the early years of the 20th century. The camp consists of 27 luxurious tents overlooking the riverbank. Each tent offers large four poster beds, classic safari furniture as well as modern en-suite bathrooms and secluded verandahs. Additionally, set on an elevated deck amidst the high shade trees are buffet luncheons and candlelight dinners.
Over the next three days, explore the northern region of Kenya, Samburu where the scenery is dramatic and the animals unique, such as the Reticulated giraffe, Grevys zebra, Somali ostrich, Gerenuk and Oryx. (B, L, D)
