Overview

The name Salta comes from the Aymara Indian word “sagta” meaning “the very beautiful one”. The picturesque city of Salta is a hidden gem nestled in one of the most diverse regions of Argentina. It is an area where indigenous traditions are kept alive in local villages, wonderful vineyards and in the colonial architecture of Salta.

Itinerary

DAY 1: SALTA
On arrival you will be met and transferred to your HOTEL.

DAY 2: SALTA
Today you will visit Quebrada de Humahuaca before being taken on the major cultural route, known as “Camino Inca”, visiting indigenous villages along the way. Continue on to San Salvador de Jujuy, the Cathedral, the Town Hall and Government House. (B)

DAY 3: SALTA – CACHI – CAFAYATE
Today you will explore the Calchaquí Valleys showcasing magnificent landscapes, colourful rock formations, enchanting villages and the town of Cafayate. (B)

DAY 4: DEPART CAFAYATE
This morning you will be taken on a tour of Cafayate town, visiting a winery and Quebrada de Cafayate, known for its rock formations, before transferring back to Salta. (B)
