The name Salta comes from the Aymara Indian word “sagta” meaning “the very beautiful one”. A hidden gem, the picturesque city of Salta, lies in one of Argentina’s most diverse regions. Here local villages keep indigenous traditions alive, filled with wonderful vineyards as well as the colonial architecture of Salta.
On arrival you will be met and transferred to your HOTEL.
Today you will visit Quebrada de Humahuaca before being taken on the major cultural route, known as “Camino Inca”, visiting indigenous villages along the way. Continue on to San Salvador de Jujuy, the Cathedral, the Town Hall and Government House. (B)
Day 3Salta - Cachi - Cafayate
Today you will explore the Calchaquí Valleys showcasing magnificent landscapes, colourful rock formations, enchanting villages and the town of Cafayate. (B)
Day 4Trip concludes
This morning you will be taken on a tour of Cafayate town, visiting a winery and Quebrada de Cafayate, known for its rock formations, before transferring back to Salta. (B)
