On arrival at Buenos Aires Airport, you will be met and transferred to the HOTEL for your two night stay.
Day 2:Buenos Aires
In the afternoon, you will be taken on a panoramic tour of the city. The tour will start in Plaza de Mayo and continue to the neighbourhood of La Boca and finish in Palermo and Recoleta. This evening, enjoy dinner with a tango show. (B)
Day 3:Buenos Aires - Comodoro Rivadavia - Los Antiguos
After breakfast, you will be taken to the airport for your transfer to Comodoro Rivadavia. On arrival, you will journey to Los Antiguos, a town near the border with Chile. Enroute there will be a picnic lunch stop at the Petrified Forest of José Ormachea and a short walk. In the afternoon, arrive at Los Antiguos, located on the coast of Lake Buenos Aires, the largest lake in South America after Titicaca. Overnight at your HOTEL. (B, L)
Day 4:Los Antiguos - Marble Chapels - Los Antiguos
This morning, you will cross the border into Chile and journey the outline of Lake General Carreras via wooded vegetation. Once the bay is reached, you will embark a sailing vessel to explore the curious formation of the Marble Chapels. This natural monument, formed by the erosion of water, is composed of three mineral formations of about 4 meters high: The Marble Cathedral, the Marble Chapel and the Marble Cave. Enjoy a picnic lunch then return to Los Antiguos. (B, L)
IMPORTANT NOTE: Boat trip to Marble Chapel is subject to weather conditions. If the boat trip needs to be taken from Puerto Tranquilo, the night in Los Antiguos might be replaced for Chile Chico.
Day 5:Los Antiguos - El Chaltén
After breakfast, you will depart from Los Antiguos
towards Perito Moreno on Route Nº40 to UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site, De Las Manos Cave (Hands Cave). These ancient cave paintings make this the main archaeological site of Patagonia. You will enter the Canyon of Pinturas River journeying for a short time on foot. After a picnic lunch, the trip continues to El Chaltén or to Los Antiguos to board the night bus to El Chaltén where you will overnight on board. (B, L)
Day 6:El Chaltén
Today is at leisure to rest and sail Lake Viedma where you can admire the biggest glacier in Los Glaciares National Park. Alternatively if you would prefer to trek the Viedma Peninsula that too is an option. Overnight at your HOTEL. (B)
Day 7:El Chaltén - El Calafate
After breakfast, you will be taken on a walk along one of the emblematic paths of El Chaltén: Torre Lagoon. Enjoy impressive views of Torre Hill, Adela Mountain Range, Solo Hill and its different glaciers. Overnight at your HOTEL. (B)
Day 8:El Calafate
This morning you will be taken on a tour of the UNESCO Natural Heritage site of Perito Moreno Glacier, within Los Glaciares National Park. Exploring the walkways, see the glacier from
different perspectives. There is an option to view these stunning surrounds via sailboat from the glacier lake. (B)
Day 9:El Calafate
Today is at your leisure. (B)
Day 10:El Calafate – Buenos Aires
This morning, you will be taken to the airport for your transfer flight to Buenos Aires where you will be met and taken to the HOTEL for your overnight stay.
Day 11:Buenos Aires
After breakfast, the day is at leisure until you are due to transfer the Buenos Aires Airport for your onward flight. (B)
