Deep in the Bolivian Jungle, lies the remote paradise: Madidi National Park. The National Park features all kinds of flora as well as fauna. Here you will have an opportunity to visit the jungle with local Amazonian guides. With twin mahogany beds as well as mosquito nets, Chalalan Ecolodge offers simple thatched cabins providing utmost comfort in the Amazon.
Today you will fly from La Paz to Rurrenabaque, then by motorised canoe along the Beni and Tuichi Rivers, to
Chalalan port. After a 25 minute walk to Chalalan Lodge, there will be time for an evening hike to observe the jungle’s nocturnal creatures. (L, D)
Day 2Chalalan Ecolodge
Today you will be taken on a tour to explore the jungle and learn about the forest’s history, and ecology as well as looking for troops of squirrel monkeys, peccaries, howler monkeys, spider monkeys, tapirs, deer, capybaras, frogs, lizards and jaguars. You will be taken by canoe to visit an indigenous community where you will enjoy some traditional music from the locals. Afterwards, you will be returned to the lodge in time for dinner. (B, L, D)
Day 3Trip concludes
This morning transfer back to Rurrenabaque airport for your flight back to La Paz. (B)
