Classic Ecuador

DAY 1: QUITO
On arrival at Quito Airport, you will be met and transferred to your HOTEL for your three-night stay.

DAY 2: QUITO
Today you will leave Quito and head to the city of Cayambe. Sample the delicious “bizcochos de Cayambe” before visiting Lake San Pablo and the renowned Otavalo Market where the local indigenous people make and sell their textiles and handicrafts. You will then have the choice to either remain at the market or continue to the town of Cotacachi, known for its leather industry. En route, you will visit Ñanda Mañachi – an Andean instrument workshop. Later, visit the Cotacachi Cayapes Ecological Reserve before returning to Quito. (B, L)

DAY 3: QUITO
Today, you will be taken to the Cotopaxi National Park. Visit the museum and hike around the Limpiopungo Lagoon until you reach the Quilotoa Volcano. In the afternoon you will return to Quito. (B)

DAY 4: QUITO – GALAPAGOS ISLANDS
Today you will be met and transferred to the airport for your flight to the Galapagos Islands. Enjoy an afternoon excursion on the island before embarking and enjoying a welcome dinner on-board M/V ARCHIPEL I. (B, D)

DAYS 5 – 6: GALAPAGOS ISLANDS
Spend the days cruising around the Galapagos Islands, discovering the unique flora and fauna of the region. Enjoy morning and afternoon excursions including snorkelling, swimming and short walks. Wildlife highlights include frigate birds, blue-footed boobies, land and marine iguanas, and penguins. Each night aboard the vessel, naturalist guides will conduct lectures to improve your knowledge of the islands. (B, L, D)

DAY 7: GALAPAGOS ISLANDS – GUAYAQUIL
After breakfast, you will disembark and be transferred to the airport for your flight to Guayaquil. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your HOTEL. (B)

DAY 8: GUAYAQUIL
Today you will enjoy a tour of Guayaquil, through the main streets and avenues. Visit the Simón Bolívar Park, La Rotonda with statues of Bolívar and Saint Martin, and the colourful, colonial neighbourhood of Las Peñas. You will also be taken to a viewpoint for panoramic views of Guayaquil and the Guayas River. (B)

DAY 9: DEPART GUAYAQUIL
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport, marking the end of your tour. (B)
