DAY 1: ARRIVE COLOMBO – NEGOMBO
On arrival at Colombo airport you will be met and transferred to your HOTEL in Negombo.

DAY 2: NEGOMBO – KANDALAMA / DAMBULLA
After breakfast, you will proceed to Dambulla via Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Assisted by local and foreign elephant experts, Pinnawala commenced a successful captive breeding program with the first baby elephant being born in 1984. Afterwards you will be transferred to your hotel in Dambulla or Kandalam. Overnight at your HOTEL. (B)

DAY 3: KANDALAMA – SIGIRIYA – KANDALAMA
After breakfast, you will be taken on a day tour to the 5th century Sigiriya Rock Fortress, where you will be able to climb this World Heritage Site. Afterwards you will be taken to Polonnaruwa, the island’s medieval capital with much of it beautifully restored. Visit the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Vihara, the Audience Hall, the Lotus Bath and the statue of King Parakramabahu. Overnight at your HOTEL. (B)

DAY 4: KANDALAMA – KANDY
Today you will visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, before you continuing on to Kandy. Overnight at your HOTEL. (B)

DAY 5: KANDY
Today you will be taken on a tour of the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, followed by a city tour, including a visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Overnight at your HOTEL. (B)

DAY 6: KANDY – COLOMBO
This morning you will head to Colombo. Overnight at your HOTEL. (B)

DAY 7: COLOMBO
Today you will be taken on a walking tour around the city. Visit the Pettah Bazaar – where you can shop for a bargain, as well as a Hindu and Buddhist temple. Overnight at your HOTEL. (B)

DAY 8: DEPART COLOMBO
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport. (B)
